Top Performing in the Explore page highlights the top-performing posts based on two factors:

  1. Total Interactions

  2. Date (posts created within the last 5 days)

In the past, the Top Performing posts were calculated only by the total number of interactions, but what we saw is that all posts would appear in this view - including posts shared over a year ago.

By prioritizing posts shared within the last 5, we are able to ensure that the freshest top-performing articles are in the view of the user.
