In this article, we will cover how to use ActiveCampaign to track prospects and leads generated from PostBeyond.
How to access the Campaigns Performance report
To access the Campaigns Performance report, follow these steps:
Click "Reports" located in the left menu.
Click "Campaigns Performance" located under "Campaign Reports."
The Campaigns Performance report will load the history of your campaigns sent in the last 14 days.
View link click data
Link click data is located on the reports page for each campaign and automation email you send.
Locate link click data for campaigns:
1. Click "Reports" in the left menu.
2. Click the "All Campaigns" option on the left side of your screen.
3. Click the campaign name.
4. Click the "Clicks" option located in the "Summary" box.
Locate link click data for automation emails:
1. Click "Reports" in the left menu.
2. Click the "Automation Reports" option on the left side of your screen.
3. Click "All Automations."
4. Locate the automation you want to view link click data for. Then click the ellipsis that appears under the automation name.
5. A modal window will appear. Click the "Automation Overview" option.
6. Scroll down the report until you see the Campaign Metrics table. Click the ellipsis that appears under the campaign's name then click the "Campaign Overview" option.
7. Click the "Clicks" option located in the "Summary" box.
Information included in the Campaigns Performance report
The Campaigns Performance report will include the following information for each sent campaign:
Name of the campaign.
Subject line of the campaign.
The total number of campaigns sends. This includes campaigns created in the Campaigns section in your account that were sent to a list(s), as well as campaigns created within automations that were sent to at least one contact.
Unique number of opens for that Campaign.
Unique number of campaign clicks.
The number of contacts who unsubscribed.
The number of contacts who bounced.
Percentage of the number of unique opens/total number of sends.
Click to Open Rate
Percentage of number of unique clicks/number of unique opens for a campaign.
Percentage of the number of unique clicks/total number of sends.
Percentage of the number of unique unsubscribes/the total number of sends.
Percentage of the number of unique forwards/the total number of sends.
Percentage of the number of unique bounces/the total number of sends.
The total amount of ecommerce revenue generated by a campaign. Note that you
will need to connect a Deep Data integration to see this information.
Active Campaign and Google Analytics
A UTM parameter is a customizable tag that is added to a destination URL and allows Google Analytics to track website visits from campaigns and other channels of communication. How it works is if a destination link with a UTM parameter is clicked, that UTM parameter is sent to Google Analytics and is logged as a traffic source.
ActiveCampaign's integration with Google Analytics automatically adds UTM parameters to links referenced in your campaigns and automation emails and is enabled on a per campaign/automation email basis. For more information on the Google Analytics integration, click here.
ActiveCampaign's Attribution feature (available for plans on the Professional and Enterprise levels) also uses UTM parameters to explore what traffic sources helped your contacts achieve a conversion. To read more about how UTM parameters are used in Attribution, click here.
The five UTM parameters used in ActiveCampaign are:
utm_medium (ex: “CPC” for cost per click)
utm_source (ex: facebook.com)
utm_campaign (ex: “US Newsfeed”)
utm_term (ex: “Buy more stuff”
utm_content (ex: “Red Banner”)
